Managing Director – KSD Environmental Services
Mark Ratcliffe, one of the original founders of KSD Support Services Ltd. Back when the business was founded, you would have known us as Kingspan Developments. Mark is now the Managing Director of KSD Environmental Services Ltd, along with taking a very, hands on and healthy interest in our KSD Housing, KSD Support Services and KSD Communications businesses. He is responsible for the overall day to day management of KSD Environmental Services business, developing and delivering services to our customers.
Mark, along with his long-standing business partners Peter McDonnell started the business "back in the day". Lifelong friends, they decided to enter into business and we are pleased that since then the business has gone from strength to strength. Oh yes, and they are still friends and business partners.
Mark started his working life from humble beginnings working on building sites and learning his trade. Like all great entrepreneurs, Mark had an eye for business. His relentless work ethic and commitment to whatever he does ensured that no matter what he did, it was going to be successful. After a short time working abroad, Mark returned to the UK and started Kingspan Developments and the rest is history. Since its incorporation in 2001 Kingspan Developments quickly grew and before Mark and his business partners knew it, more and more customers were asking Kingspan to deliver services to them. By offering a wider range of services and keeping focus on delivering excellent customer service Mark realised that further growth in the business would require further investment. In 2011 in to 2012 Mark and Peter decided to make significant investment in, new headquarters, new systems and new people. This investment has seen another step change in the business and Mark is looking forward to shaping the future growth of the business.
Away from work you will find Mark practicing his shooting skills “hitting clay’s” of course. He is keen on all sports particularly football, when he is not watching local football team, he is actively involved in the local community. Given the chance, workload permitting, Mark likes to spend as much time as possible with his family.
